The Picture of Dorian Gray - Oscar Wilde - UPDATED REVIEW

The Picture of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde  Genre : Classics Blurb (on back of book) : Oscar Wilde’s only novel is the dreamlike story of a young man who sells his soul for eternal youth and beauty. In this celebrated work Wilde forged a devastating portrait of the effects of evil and debauchery on a young aesthete in late-19th-century England. Combining elements of the Gothic horror novel and decadent French fiction, the book centers on a striking premise: As Dorian Gray sinks into a life of crime and gross sensuality, his body retains perfect youth and vigor while his recently painted portrait grows day by day into a hideous record of evil, which he must keep hidden from the world. For over a century, this mesmerizing tale of horror and suspense has enjoyed wide popularity. It ranks as one of Wilde's most important creations and among the classic achievements of its kind. AND another month just went by.

Wow.

11 books this month, which ISN'T as much as I wanted but is still good enough for me. I honestly thought I would end at 4.

I haven't been as inspired to read because I haven't found too many good books. I did read a lot of good books this month but I also read a lot of mediocre ones too.

FAVORITE BOOK OF THE MONTH: The Only Thing Worse Than Me Is You
HONORABLE MENTION OF THE MONTH: The Lovely Reckless

I've been watching a LOT of The Vampire Diaries and I have been LOVING it. AHHHH SEASON 2 of Famous in Love comes out in 4 days!

AND it's Spring Break! Yay!

I have a HUGE to-read for April and I'm going to TRY to get through all of them. There's just a stack of books by my bed for me to start. I'm currently reading To Kill a Mockingbird for school and I'm enjoying it.

MAYBE I should do genre-inspired months...

But no. I have to have my daily romance and contemporary.

Hah.

OOH, I got 1st place in a writing contest! That's fun.

Well, that's all I got to say. COMMENT your FAV books below!
